MENTAL STABILITY: THINGS THAT DON’T DEFINE YOU ?
Our culture has many competing voices attempting to define your life. Your job, your age, your religion etc. But do these things really make you who you are?
Mistaking that your worth, importance and who you being defined by the eyes of the world can result in sweeping, general anxiety. The more attached we become to these false identities, the more our egos or “false selves” gain strength, and the harder it becomes to break free from this false narrative. it is absolutely essential that you realise that even though these identities are part of your life, they are not the core of your being.
Use a measuring stick based on factors you can control, not the external events in your life. When you know who you are and you’re pleased with the person you’ve become, you’ll experience a sense of peace through life’s inevitable ups and downs. You’ll believe in yourself regardless of whether you’ve lost your job, gone through a breakup, or failed to get a promotion.
