CAMHS Practitioners – Band 6 and 7

CAMHS Professionals are currently recruiting for full time CAMHS Practitioners on a locum basis, 3 months contracts offered with the view to extend.


About the position: 
This position will be working within the NHS.

This role includes:

  • Initial assessments
  • Case holding
  • Developing risk assessments
  • Providing interventions
  • Managing referrals
  • Offering urgent appointments for those at risk

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A BSc (Hons) degree in mental health nursing
  • Experience: 2+ years working as an RMN within CAMHS in the UK
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS on the update service, NMC registration, references to cover last 3 years, immunisation history, indemnity insurance, mandatory trainings, right to work in UK etc
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work

Key Responsibilities:

  • The assessment of needs, planning and delivery of care for young people from assessment to discharge from services
  • To provide specialist services in the following areas: assessment, consultation, individual therapy, group and family interventions
  • Implementing and evaluating care plans collaboratively with service users, carers and other professionals, providing individualised care
  • Working closely with young people to empower and support their recovery journey
  • Advocating for young people using the services
  • Providing supervision for non-qualified staff
