As a Consultant, you will be the driving force behind shaping the psychiatric care within the HMP, ensuring that each individual receives the personalised attention and treatment they need to thrive.

Preferred Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Consultant in the field of Psychiatry, with a deep understanding of the challenges and complexities of providing care in a prison setting.
- Exceptional clinical skills, including assessing, diagnosing, and developing comprehensive treatment plans for a diverse range of psychiatric conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build trust with patients effectively.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and advocating for the well-being of the individuals in your care.
- Adaptability and resilience to navigate the unique demands of a prison environment while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical degree and successful completion of specialist training in Psychiatry.
- Current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice in the United Kingdom.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a prison or forensic psychiatric setting, or a strong desire to develop expertise in this area.
