Speech and Language Therapist
CAMHS Professionals are currently recruiting for ongoing (part or full time) Speech & Language Therapy roles on a locum or permanent basis. We also find roles for Newly Qualified SLT’s with limited experience.

About the position:
This position will be working within the NHS and private sector.
This role includes assessing patients, treating a variety of conditions such as:
- Helping patients of all ages with varying levels of speech, language and communication problems, or difficulties in swallowing, drinking or eating
- Assessing patients
- Providing care/support
- Locum or permanent opportunities
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: A BSc (Hons) degree in Speech & Language Therapy
- Experience: 1+ years working as an SLT in the UK
- Compliance: Up to date DBS, HCPC registration
- Travel: Ideally a clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify the speech and communication difficulty or disorder of the individual client/patient
- Assess the cause and nature of the problem, for example, congenital problems (e.g cleft palate) or acquired disorders following an injury or a stroke
- Creating a bespoke treatment programme, working one-to-one or in groups, with the aim of a positive outcome/progress
- Review and revise the programme as appropriate
- Implement treatment programmes and train other professionals
- Monitor your patient’s progress and write confidential client case notes and reports
- Managing caseloads, prioritizing cases, waiting lists, referral and discharge of service users
- Work within a team to improve the effectiveness of service delivery
- Depending on the seniority of your position, you will conduct personal development reviews with colleagues
- You will support newly qualified SLTs (NQT’s) and SLT assistants
- Plan and deliver training sessions, undertake clinical audits and participate in research projects
